End of tour

This fourth time sharing the stage with all of the organisations felt different in comparison to the three first shows, perhaps because of a deeper sense of connection; since the material was familiar enough, by now, one could focus more on the experience as well as sensing the others. Thus, it is bittersweet to say goodbye to this group of amazing beings – let us hope our paths will cross again.

The Finnish team extends a heartfelt thank you to Sala Fenix for hosting us!

Into the woods we go!

Into the woods we go!

For the third sharing of 4 POWER OF FRAGILITY, Saine Ensemble had the pleasure to host our partners in Raseborg, Finland and provide a performance opportunity at a local art festival. Dancing Meteorite Satellite ´24 took place in Gumnäs, in the middle of the forest, by the coast of Skuruviken. Although we performed inside a pavilion, the energy of the surrounding nature was felt and added its own magic to the performance. In addition, the Finnish team was very happy to be able to share the beauty of Northern summer with friends in this way.

Heat and inclined stages

Heat and inclined stages

The second leg of our tour took us to the charming city of Pergola, Italy, in July 2024. The days were hot, though the mountainous area made sure we were spared from the worst of it. The performance of 4 POWER OF FRAGILITY took place in an old theatre with an inclined stage – the inclination combined with the heat made sure that we were up for a challenge, being used to performing on even floors.

The performance began on the entry floor in a hall with columns and arcs, from where the audience was lead upstairs to the theatre hall. Performing this piece for the first time in an actual theatre venue felt very different compared to the first performance in Lagos – what a privilege it is to get to share our work in such different locations!

A big thank you to Ijshaamanka for hosting!

The special first!

The special first!

The premiere of 4 POWER OF FRAGILITY took place at Primavera Dança festival in Lagos, Portugal. The day-long festival, organised by AORCA, was held at the PND (Projecto Novas Descobertas) regenerative farm. While three out of four pieces were performed inside in a pavilion, the fourth piece by Portugal took all performers outside on the grass. It was very special to end our premiere together, barefoot, surrounded by farmland.

A memorable beginning for our European tour – thank you AORCA for hosting!
